Has anyone used a courier or authorized another person to collect the passport? I am mainly worried about the exact wording needed on the authorization letter.
StampWindow My spouse collected mine with the original pickup slip, a signed authorization letter, and copies of both IDs. The staff barely looked at the letter, but they did keep it with the slip.

ConsulateMorning Courier rules vary by consulate. Some will not release passports to commercial couriers unless the service is already known to them. Calling the office before you arrange it is worth the time.
