Here’s the deal straight from the official source:
For F-type visa at the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, you’re looking at 4 working days for regular processing — that’s the standard timeline. For example, apply on Monday and your passport is ready on Thursday.
Important heads-up though: The Chinese Embassy Islamabad explicitly states it does NOT provide fast/express service. So don’t count on any rush processing like some other embassies offer.
A few extra things to keep in mind:
• Processing can be longer than 4 days if the officer requests additional documents, calls you for an interview, or there’s any issue with your file.
• If your application is returned and you reapply, it’s treated as a brand-new application and the 4-day clock resets from scratch.
• Applications go through Gerry’s Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Islamabad — submit there, they forward your passport to the Embassy.
• You need to fill out the form and book an appointment online first before physically going to Gerry’s.
• During busy periods (summer, Chinese holidays), delays are possible, so submit early.
Bottom line: Plan for at least 4 working days minimum, but buffer in extra time just in case.
