Beijing work permit renewal after my job title changed inside the same company

I am renewing a Beijing work permit this month. My employer is the same legal entity, but my contract title changed from product specialist to regional operations manager. HR says the renewal form should use the new title, while the original permit record still has the old one.

What I tried: I gave HR the new contract, tax screenshots, passport, residence permit, and degree authentication from the original application. The online system accepted the document upload, but HR is unsure whether the title change needs a separate amendment before renewal.

Has anyone handled a same-company title change in 2026? I want to avoid a late renewal if the bureau asks us to redo the sequence.

HR uploaded a short company explanation with the company chop saying the employee stayed in the same entity and the new title reflected an internal responsibility update.
