Finding quiet work booths near Shenzhen North Station

I have a three hour gap near Shenzhen North Station between a morning meeting and an afternoon train. I need to take one video call and send a few documents, so a regular cafe may be too noisy. I have seen paid work booths inside some stations in other cities, but I have not used one in Shenzhen.

Has anyone recently found a quiet place near Shenzhen North where a foreign phone number and passport are not a problem for entry or payment? I can walk a bit outside the station if the better option is in a nearby mall or co-working lobby.

There are small paid booths in the station area, but I would not rely on them for an important video call. The ones I saw were useful for a short private phone call, yet the ventilation fan and station announcements were still audible. Payment worked through a mini program, so the main question was whether your payment app is already linked to a local card.

If you can leave the station, look at the office buildings on the Longhua side. Some business centers sell hourly access to a small meeting room, and the front desk can usually register a passport manually. It costs more than a booth, but the Wi-Fi and sound control are much better.

I would book by phone before walking over because reception staff sometimes need a Chinese name for the building pass system.

A backup plan is to use mobile data and sit in one of the quieter restaurant corners after the lunch rush. Shenzhen North gets loud in waves when trains board, so noise cancelling headphones help, but they will not hide announcements from the people on your call. For any call where you need to speak for more than a few minutes, I would choose a paid room outside the station.
